Editorials—Imaan Hallam x Vogue Paris May 2014

Hola!  I love this editorial that Terry Richardson shot of Imaan Hallam for the May 2014 issue of Vogue Paris.  The juxtaposition of her posing with a mannequin’s arm all while appearing to be floating on air just appeals to me (go figure).   Take a peek and share your thoughts.

Events—Styled for Fall: Fossil at VOGUE

130924-117Hola!  Earlier this week I was lucky enough to attend Styled for Fall: Fossil at VOGUE. I must admit I squealed at the thought of going to the Vogue offices (so Carrie Bradshaw-ish)!  As soon as I walked in I was warmly greeted and noticed the wonderful display of handbags and accessories.  There were pops of color, leopard print and flashes of metallic!  Fossil is definitely becoming more fashion forward which is a great move for the brand.

Loving these colors of the Sydney Satchel, Memoir Novella Flap, Memoir Haircalf Diary Clutch and Sydney Shopper.
We were getting schooled on the functionality of each bag.
This was one of my faves—Memoir Biography Satchel!
The accessories didn’t disappoint either—Chelsey-silver and Florence Rose Gold watches.

After the presentation we were able to use the clothing they pulled from the VOGUE closet and style them with Fossil accessories.  The challenge was: Seeing Spots-accessorize with animal prints, Stack in Style-mix and match bracelets and Heat Things Up-add bold warm hues to your wardrobe.  Take a peek at the look I styled and let me know what you think.

I opted for a sophisticated black and white ensemble paired with the cheetah print Memoir Biography Satchel, stacked bracelets and Georgia Coral Leather watch.
It’s all in the details!

This was such a fun event!  I wish much more success to Fossil and look forward to attending more events with VOGUE!  If you are yearning for more check out Instagram and Twitter using these hashtags #FossilStyle and #FossilatVOGUE.  Enjoy!

Friday Sass—Red Hot Rihanna

Hola!  Happy Friday!  This has been another crazy week—recovery efforts from Hurricane Sandy, the election *Go Obama!* and ending it all was a winter Nor’Easter snow storm.  I am so happy that the weekend is here so let’s get to today’s sass—Red Hot Rihanna.  She looks fab on this cover of Vogue; the color red really highlights her skintone and hazel eyes.  Keep slaying RiRi!  What do you think about the monochromatic look, do you like to wear all one color? Do tell… Have a great weekend 🙂

Vogue Brazil November 2012—Lais Ribeiro

Hola!  I stumbled upon this spread of Vogue Brazil (Nov ’12) with gorgeous model Lais Ribeiro.  Photographer Granace Dore captured beautiful images of Lais in bright colors and bold patterns that mixes together so well.  Every look here is giving me life and inspiration for Spring ’13.  Oh and peep the big, bouncy curlz—love it!  Do you?
