Hola! Across the pond in London fashion week has begun yet I am still giving you New York goodness here, so continue to read on. I had the honor of attending the Deola A/W ’14 presentation during NYFW and it didn’t disappoint. The Nigerian designer’s collection was a mixture of chic and whimsical. I see that she pulled a bit from her heritage by using big bold prints and details. My fave is the last dress with Nelson Mandela on it—fab! Let me know your thoughts.
Hola! New York Fashion Week still has a few days left and I am here to share a fab presentation that I attended over the weekend—5:31 Jerome //FW”14. The fashion event was held at the chic Inglot Studios near Chelsea Market and it was jammed packed! The collection consisted of oversized coats, wool blazers, funnel neck cropped tops and cutout dresses to name a few. Keep scrolling to take a peek for deets.
I see a few pieces that I wouldn’t mind adding to my wardrobe. What about you? Do tell.

Since the polar vortex refuses to leave these Marni beaver mittens, Monki beanie and River Island ankle boots are needed to keep your hands/head warm and feet dry. Use Eos to keep those lips moisturized and bright red with Nars lipstick; stay smelling sweet in Marc Jacobs Daisy perfume to go. A tablet and cellphone (whether Apple or Android) are gadgets that you cannot live without; I mean how else are you suppose to post those selfies? Last but not least a fab tote like this 3.1 Phillip Lim Pashli satchel is a perfect way to haul around all of these goodies. Did you have any other suggestions? Click below watch the shows live streaming. Happy Fashion Week!
Hola peeps! Things that make you go hummmm. I get where they are coming from but aren’t bloggers a part of the next generation of getting the fashion news out there quickly? What your are thoughts? Sound off!

Hola! Nolcha Fashion Week was just as fab as ever and one of my favorite designers was Maita Marimo. The 29 year old hails from Zimbabwe where she attended school for interior design but eventually became a self-taught fashion designer. In 2012 she was voted Zimbabwe’s Fashion Week Designer of the year. Maita describes her signature style as “Classic chic with a modern edge”. Her collection is most definitely a representation of that with intricate details like lace, ruffles and pleats. Take a peek and enjoy!
