Hola! I hope that everyone is enjoying their extra day off from work by going to a bbq, pool or just being with family and friends. However, please remember those that has served our country one of the greatest honors of all—God Bless the fallen soldiers and those serving now. Enjoy your Memorial Day!
Hola! I hope that your weekend is off to a good start. I thought since we talked about “Name Your Top 5 Hair Products” it is only natural that we talk about clothes! However, I must confess that I do love clothes but my true obsession is accessories (but that is another post)…right now it is all about the 5 must haves. Here goes for me:
1. Jeans—I cannot stress enough how necessary it is for me to have a good pair of jeans. My daily wardrobe usually consists of them with a cute top and sandals/boots. Although I love my skinnies, I have completely fallen for these 7 for Mankind Dojo Flip Flop Jeans. They have a laid back relaxed fit that is perfect for summer when you don’t want jeans too tight.
2/3. Tees and Tank tops—Very rarely do I wear tank tops alone but it is a staple for me when layering. I love to have a smooth silhouette under my summer tees so I wear lightweight slub ones with a tank underneath. It is a perfect ensemble that can be worn with jeans (of course) skirts and shorts. My favs…Splendid 1×1 Tank Top and T by Alexander Wang Classic Pocket Tee.
4. Dresses—Nothing says summer like a sundress! If you don’t know by now summer is my fav season–the warm weather just does something to me! There are always tons of colors/prints/patterns each year so if you want a summer classic I would stick with a typical sheath dress. This style has a flattering fit on most body types and it can be dressed up or down depending on the accessories/shoes. I love this Marc New York Blue Sheath. To take a walk on the wildside I’m also digging Joie’s Mazira Dress and Thread Social Tulip Print Dress.
5. Skorts—I couldn’t decide between shorts or skirts so I pick skorts;o) Idk I have always liked them and felt more comfortable in them than shorts. They allow me to have the freedom of shorts but the look of a skirt–fab concept! I need these–ADAM Pleated Skort and Tibi Mini Skort.
So do tell—what are your 5 picks??

Hola!……well if you don’t know you should find out REALLY quick! She is the owner/designer/creative force behind the line Boxing Kitten and I think that I am in love with it! She was up on the batik/african inspired prints long before the current Spring 2010 trend. Lake is a Brooklyn born, New Jersey raised self-taught designer and entrepreneur.
“Although constantly pulling inspiration from various sources, the current collection is specifically driven by elements within the political and cultural climate of the Civil Rights Movement. The collection uses vibrant African wax block print fabrics, which makes each piece unmatched. Each garment fuses bold print combinations with charmingly demure patterns and flawless construction. This ironic sensibility is the common thread intertwining throughout, skillfully woven by its founder and designer, Maya A. Lake. Readily embracing contradiction with a keen understanding of how interconnected everything is, Lake’s vision is what makes Boxing Kitten unique and infinitely approachable. Lake modestly describes her line of dresses and separates as having an “ethnic rockabilly” look. ” Read more here.
