Hola! I hope all is good with you guys. Despite the cool, wet weather on Sunday afternoon I happily made may way into the city to Skylight West for the FARAI fashion show. I would like to thank their team for sending me the invite and for the hospitality of the venue’s team *i was lucky enough to be seated in the front row* The atmosphere was vibrant and roaming with fashionistas, bloggers, designers, and photographers. There were several designers represented there and they each had their own unique flair. Spring 11 will be filled with color, ruffles, embellishment, and sparkle. I am only posting a few pics, however I have tons and I am in the process of creating/editing a mini slide show that I have put together **unfortunately I am having technical difficulties at the moment**. I will be coming back with an update, for now enjoy!
**Remember to check back as I have to add the movie and pics of the fashionable crowd. Stay tuned!

Hola! I hope that your week is going great. Well you know that I have been gearing up for fashion week with posts about FNO and such, I am delighted to say that I am going to a show! I received an invite (confirmation) to attend the show for FARAI’s NYFW Spring 2011 Collection. Farai Simoyi is a London-born Zimbabwean designer, she grew up in West Virginia and later moved to NYC where she currently resides. This collection is a reflection of her emerging onto the American fashion scene. Her designs are filled with colors, prints, and African inspired patterns. On Sunday evening I am expecting to have lots of fun, see some great designs, and mingle with the fashion crowd. Until I am able to post pics check her site www.faraisimoyi.com and blog http://fashionfarai.wordpress.com/ for more info.
**SN: My hair in this pic I think is a day old twist out. They never really work on my hair as they always turn out frizzy and dry looking to me. What do you think? Any suggestions on how to get a great twist out?
