Editorials—Lupita Nyong’o x VOGUE

Hola peeps!  Well Princess Lupita strikes again and this time she has taken over the cover of the July 2014 issue of VOGUE.  Look at that pretty smile, gleaming skin and perfect bone structure…simply beautiful!  She can do no wrong, don’t you agree?

Monday’s Muse—Sage Steele

Hola peeps!  I hope that you had a great weekend as I did!  Today’s muse is the host of ESPN and ABC’s NBA Countdown—Sage Steele.    It is great to see a woman of color headlining a sports show and to top it off she rocks her natural curlz proudly.  I have greatly enjoyed her commentary during the NBA Finals and look forward to much more from her.  Follow her on twitter and facebook.  Enjoy!

Editiorals—Willow and Jaden Smith x Vanity Fair July 2014

Hola!  I know there has been lots of talk and speculation about the Smith kids but that isn’t stopping Willow and Jaden.  Here they are in the July 2014 issue of Vanity Fair magazine.  They where snapped my photographer Miguel Reveriego and both look adorable trendy.  I love that they express their freedom by switching up their style—whether it be with clothes or their hairstyles (peep that both are natural).  These are two celeb kids to watch as I am sure they have bright futures ahead of them!

Fashion News—Quvenzhané Wallis is the New Face of Armani Junior and Target Announces next Designer Collaboration

Hola peeps!  I have some congratulatory fashion news for you—Giorgio Armani has tapped  young Quvenzhané Wallis to be the face of their Junior line!  If you don’t know who she is then google her roles 12 Years a Slave, Beasts of the Southern Wild and starring in the upcoming remake of Annie.  I am so happy for this young starlet, I see a very long and bright future for her!

On another note the fashion world has been waiting with bated breath (well not really but…) for the next Target designer collaboration.  This time they have teamed up with Altuzarra!  The design capsule is set to debut in the fall (September) just in time for fashion week and back to school shopping.  The price point is said to range from $17.99 to $89.99 for clothing and lingerie and $29.99 to $79.99 for shoes and accessories.  There aren’t any images as of yet but take a peek of this promo video.  Thoughts…will you be shopping the line?

Fashion—Celeb Style at the 67th Annual Cannes Film Festival

Hola!  The most glitzy film festival of all is full swing, if you don’t know I am talking about the 67th Annual  Cannes Film Festival.  Hollywood and international stars always step it up a notch in the glamour department and I love it!  Take a peek at these pics and tell me who killed the red carpet.

The gorgeous Adriana Lima shows off her svelte body in a Alexandre Vauthier bustier and high slit skirt.
Sonam Kapoor looked beautiful is this black beaded gown by Elie Saab.
This custom gown adorned with sequins and ostrich feathers by Michael Kors is one of my faves! The blush/peachy color illuminates Freida Pinto’s skin and beautiful face.

Lea Seydoux looked fab in green (my fave color!) Her deep plunged Prada gown had a long embroidered train that followed.

Salma Hayek looked lovely in long soft waves and a pop of fuschia. Although simple yet so sophisticated, I like this Saint Laurent gown.

So there you have it celeb style at  Cannes.   What are your thoughts?  Any faves or not?  Do tell.

Monday’s Muse—Gugu Mbatha-Raw

Hola peeps!  I hope you had a great weekend.  Again I am truly sorry for my hiatus, they have been coming frequently but I promise to get back on track.  Now on to today’s muse English actress and fellow curly girl- Gugu Mbatha-Raw.  The beauty stars in the new film Belle which is inspired by the true story of Dido Elizabeth Belle, who was the illegitimate biracial daughter of an admiral but raised by her aristocrat uncle.  She and this movie has peeked my interest, therefore I must go see it!  Have you seen it or are you interested in seeing it?  Do tell.
