Happy National Handbag Day

Hola!  Happy Friday to you all!  Did you know that today is a holiday?  Well it is National Handbag Day!  Deemed by the ladies behind the Purse Blog, today is a day to celebrate something that almost all women love…handbags.  I must say that I have always loved a fab bag (and shoe) over clothes any day which is why this is one of my new favorite holidays.

I have selected a few of my favorite bags that I would totally splurge on it if my bank account allowed it.  Featured a crossbody, backpack, clutch, bucketbag, a tote and more…there is something for the handbag lover in all of us!  Let me know your thoughts and don’t forget to share what bag you plan to rock today.  Enjoy NHD!

Friday Sass—Sporty Chic Travels

Hola peeps!  It has been awhile and I’ve truly missed you guys!  Lately my life has been a little hectic and all I can think about is getting away before summer passes me by (hence today’s post).  Well today’s sass—Sporty Chic Travels is my inspiration to get my “ish” together and head out of town!  I think that this is a cute look that will keep you comfy whether traveling by plane, train, car or even bus.  Keep it simple in an oversized jersey dress that screams ‘Adios’, Ray-Ban sunnies to block the haters and gadgets to help pass the time!

WIDW—Naomi Campbell x Beats by Dre

Hola!  I’ve been M.I.A. for a bit and honestly you can blame the World Cup just a little for that.  Yes I was swept up in Fifa Fever and loved it although neither of my teams (USA/Costa Rica) made it to the finals.  Germany won and one their gold gifts besides the trophy were 24 carat gold dipped Beats Pro headphones.  Oh and who better to show them off than fabulous Naomi Campbell.  Unfortunately these are not for sale so I suppose we all have to settle for gawking!  Thoughts?

Friday Sass—NYFW Essentials

Hola peeps!  Today is the second day of one of the grandest events in the city…New York Fashion Week!  NYC is swarming with models, designers, editors, photographers and fashionistas galore.  In today’s sass—NYFW Essentials I am sharing a few key items that are a MUST for the week ahead.  Take a peek and read on.

NYFW Essentials

Since the polar vortex refuses to leave these Marni beaver mittens, Monki beanie and River Island ankle boots are needed to keep your hands/head warm and feet dry. Use Eos to keep those lips moisturized and bright red with Nars lipstick; stay smelling sweet in Marc Jacobs Daisy perfume to go. A tablet and cellphone (whether Apple or Android) are gadgets that you cannot live without; I mean how else are you suppose to post those selfies? Last but not least a fab tote like this 3.1 Phillip Lim Pashli satchel is a perfect way to haul around all of these goodies.  Did you have any other suggestions?  Click below watch the shows live streaming.  Happy Fashion Week!

WIDW—Karen Walker Eyewear x Kenyan Artisans

Hola peeps!  Well it is Wednesday and today I am digging theses fab Summer 2014 sunglasses by Karen Walker.  She enlisted Kenya artisans (cutters, tailors, production managers, metal workers and machinists) to model her cool shades and in return they are designing a collection of beaded and screen printed pouches that will be given at point of purchase.  This collaboration came about via the UN’S Ethical Fashion Initiative in which they pair up fashion businesses with artisans in Africa and Haiti to help bring about positive change in their communities.  Take a peek.

Shopping—Just Soles

Kurt Geiger Ladies Shoes Size 37 Available to BuyHola peeps!  Do you remember yesterday’s post where I was raving about my love for handbags?  Although I must remind you that I did mention they are tied with shoes as my fave!  I love a hot bootie, flat and even a heel sometimes, believe me I have the overloaded closet to show for it.  Do you have that same infatuation or problem with shoes?  Today I’m going to provide a solution for you—Just Soles.  Haven’t heard of them?  Well keep reading….

Here is a snippet from Just Soles explaining how it all works:

1) Sell: We’ve all had a pair that we bought on an impulse or that we just had to have that isn’t quite us after all. So, sell your sole and let some other lucky shoe lover enjoy wearing a sole they love! The listing fee is only 10% of your sale.

2) RentThink about it. You want a pair of shoes that you won’t wear all the time. Maybe it’s a pair you only wear once a year and it was a shoe you saved for or charged. Rent it out to a fellow shoe lover who doesn’t want to buy an expensive pair of shoes she won’t wear all the time. Ladies, you rent out your shoes for 2 months and you just paid for those stilettos! The listing fee is only 10% of the rental sale.

3) Buy or Rent: Just enjoy looking through this closet of shoes and when you see something you want to buy or rent, enjoy indulging!

I think that this is such a cool concept!  Now is the perfect time to clean out your shoe closet, make money and shop for more.  Do you agree?  If so, then don’t hesitate head on over now!  Oh and the taupe bootie above is for sale…happy shopping!
