National Women and Girls HIV/AIDS Awareness Day

The Red Pump ProjectHola mi gentes!  Today is National Women and Girls HIV/AIDS Awareness Day, you may have noticed the banner in my sidebar for quite some time.

Statistics:

-“Every 35 minutes, a woman tests positive for HIV in the United States.”—GET TESTED!

-“More than 107,000 New Yorkers are living with HIV”—GET TESTED!

-“HIV infection was the fifth leading cause of death among all women 35 to 44 years old“—GET TESTED!

If these statistics doesn’t push you to get tested then I don’t know what will.  Ladies love and take care of yourselves; life is short and the world needs each of you here.  To show your support be sure to rock your red pumps today and everyday if you like to raise awareness to a much needed cause.  Please share this post with all of your family members and gal pals.
