Hola! Not to long ago it was announced that Solange x Puma was collaborating on a sneaker line. The fashionista curated The Girls of Blaze collection all while styling true to the Puma athletic spirit. Look out for brightly colored fresh kicks in stores for the holiday season! Take a peek.
I am no sneakerhead but I think that adding a pair of these to my closet my add a bit of pep to my step. What are your thoughts…a go or no?
Hola peeps! Just checking in to share Brooklyn Summer 2013 magazine with one of our fave chicas on the cover—Solange. The hair, face and style is just perfect. Don’t you agree?
Hola! Happy hump day to you all! I’ve said it before and I will say it again Solange was born to model, she gives face even when she isn’t trying to! No discredit to her musical side but this is her true calling. She was stunting over at the Cannes Film Festival a few days ago in an all white Stéphane Rolland jumpsuit. One word–flawless! Do you agree?
Hola peeps! Solange recently covered Complex magazine looking hot as ever! Yes she sings but I think that modeling is her true calling as she always nails it. She donned a big curly fro, a red-hot pout and legs for days. Take a peek and let me know if you agree—should she stick to modeling? Do tell…
Hola peeps! I hope that this is a good Friday for you, spring tricked us here in NYC by giving us pouring rain and cool temps. Today’s sass features one of The Best Dressed chicas around—Solange. The pic is from Madewell’s Pre-Fall 2012 ad campaign but I feel that this look is a perfect transition into spring. I love the pops of colors and the polka dot shorts! I would rock this outfit any day, would you?
Hola peeps! As you know we are huge fans of Solo and her style, well she didn’t disappoint this time either! Last week she was walking the red carpet at the ‘Girls’ Season 2 Premiere in a printed suit from the Just Cavalli Pre-Fall 2013 collection. Love it—the juxtaposition of colors and patterns are perfect. Let’s not forget her perfectly coiffed fro as well—fab!
Also, I have heard so much about this show…I am eager to check out season 1 before I attempt to delve into the new season. Have you seen it? What are your thoughts? Do tell…
Hola! Stumbled upon Solange on the cover of Elle South Africa and she looks fab! I would rock that entire ‘fit and the hair is bad! Keep killing it Solo!
Hola peeps! Well our fave cool sista Solo is back with her first love—music. It has been four years since her last album Sol-Angel and the Hadley St. Dreams dropped yet she kept busy during her hiatus. She has DJ’ed across the globe, is currently Madewell’s fashion it girl and until recently was the spokeswoman of Carol’s Daughter Transitioning Movement *also a natural hair muse for many*.
I suppose that even with different projects going on she wanted to go back to her singing roots. Her new album in which she worked with Pharrell Williams on is set to debut in early 2013. I can dig it…VA homie Pharrell + Solo…I can’t wait to see what they have come up with. For now here is a snippet of her single “Losing You” which comes out on Oct 2nd. Enjoy!
Hola peeps! I know that it has been a minute yet life has been crazy busy for me—work, events and fashion week prep is taking up all of my time as of late. Please bear with me as good things are to come! Ultra-cool chica Solange has been tapped as the face of Madewell’s Fall 2012 campaign and of course she didn’t disappoint. I think that this is a perfect match for the laid-back cool yet modestly contemporary line. Peep how her personal stylish flair shines in the ‘fits below. Enjoy!
Hola! So, did you guys watch the BET Awards last night? I must admit normally I don’t watch the full show but this time it was a bit different. Eager to see the Whitney Houston tribute (everyone had been waiting/talking about it) and a glimpse of Bey and Jay (love them!) I planted myself in front of the tube and tuned in! Well, if you missed it I am going to touch on my version of a recap—Best in Show. Overall I wasn’t wowed by the celebs’ choices of fashion for the night so I am focusing in on the best performances (IMO), a bit of hair and anything else that caught my eye. I hope you enjoy
Monica Brown—one of the best performances of the night. She sang her heart out during the Whitney Houston tribute and looked gorgeous doing so in a dress from the 2010 collection of the late Alexander McQueen.
Chaka Khan also sang a song for the tribute and she looked equally as fab! Check the slim figure and that hair—beautiful! She is giving the young and old a run for their money—we all should take note…being healthy does a body GOOD!
Power couple—Jay and Bey! All smiles…happiness is the key to a great relationship and you just can’t hate on that!
Awe look at the sistas—cute! Love that bright fuschia on Solange, oh and the Poetic Justice braids (that you really can’t see in this pic)!
A shame—it’s a shame how beautiful Elle Varner is! Peep the curlz–honey is fly!
VA homie D’Angelo made his first appearance in 12 years. He sounded the same which was good, yet failed in the wardrobe department. A slick suit and a little moisturizer on the natural fro would have stepped up his game. Whateves…glad to hear his voice again!
Frankie Beverly and Maze brought the smooth grooves to the show. They still got! He won the Lifetime Achievement Award–congrats!
Tyrese performed one of Frankie Beverly’s songs during the tribute to him. He cleans up nice and sounded great!
There you have it! This pretty much sums up my highlights of the night. What about you…who was your fave? Do tell…
