Hola! The 2012 Met Gala went down last night and the celebs were out for the the high fashion event. Hola peeps! I hope that your weekend is going great. Last Tuesday I was invited to the Tribeca Grand Hotel for the debut of Beautiful Textures, sadly I wasn’t able to attend but I have the deets for you. This hair care line was specifically designed for women with kinky, coily, curly, wavy and frizzy tresses. Natural hair enthusiasts and bloggers were in attendance while enjoying cocktails and hair chatter. Kimberly Walker (Tress Talk) a natural hairstylist did the hair demonstrations and an introduction of the collection was provided by Strength of Natural Global Marketing Director, Charlene Bastien.

Some of the products offered are Control Defining Pudding, Tangle Taming Shampoo, Moisture Whipped Curl Creme, and Rapid Repair Deep Conditioner. To check out more products go here. Beautiful Textures will be available at fine beauty retailers this winter. I am looking forward to trying out some of these products, what about you? Enjoy the pics!

Hola! I know that this post is terribly late but hey you forgive me right? I am finally getting around to sharing the pics that I took of the Curly Nikki NYC Meetup. This fab event was held last month at the Carlton Hotel and was sponsored by Mizani. The place was packed with tons of natural ladies and some gents…such a beautiful sight to see! Everyone was greeted with a smile and a gift bag courtesy of Mizani that contained a few samples of their new hair care line.

I was lucky enough to get some great shots of different styles, Curly Nikki and a photo-op with “Aunt Viv” **check the pics below. I really do hope that she makes it back to NYC as the turn out was great!

Hola peeps! Is it just me or is this week dragging? Anyway on to the next and that is the Versace and H&M Party pics. Thanks to Barracuda Film & TV for sending over exclusive videos of last night big NYC Bash. Although I wish that I was invited I will still share highlights of the night. The place was packed and star-studded, here is a snippet of the deets that was sent to me:

EVENT INFO:

Over 500 specially invited guests entered the world of Versace already on the red carpet. At the specially designed building on the Hudson River, Donatella Versace was joined by Jessica Alba, Blake Lively, Alexander Wang, Linda Evangelista, Emma Roberts, Uma Thurman, Chace Crawford and many others. The Versace for H&M collection was shown on the catwalk alongside with some iconic pieces created just for this exclusive show. A second scene in this fabulous venue was entered by Prince and Nicki Minaj who gave an exclusive concert. A glamorous after-party followed in true Versace style for hours…

Hola! I see the weekend on the horizon…yippy! I styled this set—The New Yorker as an ode to StylePantry whom can do no wrong in my book. Hola peeps! I hope you are having a great weekend. Last night was the 2011 Black Girls Rock event here in NYC and it appears to have been a fab time had by all! If you aren’t familiar with the organization then you should know that DJ Beverly Bond is the founder of BGR; which mentors young black girls and works towards fading the negative images of Black women in the media.

My plan is to definitely be in attendance next year. However for now I am sharing some of my fave images from the extraordinary night courtesy of www.essence.com. Some of my fashion and hair muses were in the house—Tracee Ellis Ross, Jill Scott, and Mary J. Blige to name a few. The show airs on BET Nov 6th. Enjoy!
