Hola peeps! I hope all is good with ya! While browsing my Jan 2012 **wow a new year** issue of Lucky magazine I came across these kick azz nail wraps by NCLA. I immediately fell for the Secession and Boogie Nights collections. The bright colors and wild patterns are on trend and will definitely make a statement. There are a few that I’m diggin. Hola! I hope that you had a fab weekend and now back to work ;o( In order to lighten the mood check today’s muse- Rihanna. I know, i know some may say that she has borrowed some of her style choices from the likes of Grace Jones, Madonna, and the list could go on but one thing is for sure her ensembles are always daring. However, at times i do sigh to myself–”hum i’ve seen this before” but then she adds a bit of shock value to her look to flip it altogether. Hola! I hope you all are having a fab week! I was reading one of my fave blogs today, Afrobella she interviewed Anna Alissa Hitzemann whom is a 23 yr old filmmaker. She did a documentary called Street Side Salon where she filmed the women in downtown Kingston doing hair, nails, and lashes all on the street. When you think of this it does seem unsanitary but once you view the video you can see why people go. These women are truly talented in more ways than one and the marketplace is live and vibrant. As Afrobella pointed out it is a little difficult to think that these women may be working now considering the current conditions in Jamaica.
