Hola! Yesterday New York Fashion Week started off with a bang! One of my fave shows was BCBG, tons of inspiration for Fall 2013 as well as items that can be worn in the blustery winter weather now. Layers were in abundance-sweaters over dresses over pants and more! Fur, leather and beanies all took center stage as well. The juxtaposition of it all works and I am loving it!
Max Azria‘s design team use of prints paired with the right colors and textures brings the clothing to life. This collection shows you exactly how to get more wear out of your summer items in the midst of winter. It makes me want to take a risk by pairing my summer frock and leather pants. Take a peek at the show and share your thoughts.
As usual stay tuned right here as I will continue to bring you coverage of my fave shows. You can also tune into the live stream here as well. Happy Fashion Week!
Hola! It’s FRIDAY!!!! You don’t know how happy I am that the weekend is here and on top of that 3 days! Let’s jump right into today’s sass—Jodie Smith for Nasty Gal’s “Loud and Clear” Lookbook. You will see a ton of black/white combos in Spring 2013 fashion and they nailed it with this shoot. This lookbook is filled with a little 80s, a tad androgyny and full of fun!
Jodie is a perfect match for the brand as she brings the clothing to life and I love it! I see a few items that I would like to add to my Spring wardrobe. What about you? Have a super weekend!
Hola! Happy Freakin Friday! This first full week of the new year has started off rocky so this weekend is just what I needed. Let’s get to today’s sass—Regal Lady. Don’t get me wrong I live in and love my jeans/denim to death; yet there are times when I want to get dressed up and just look pretty. Well, this set shows you how—pretty brocade dress, super high heels, sparkly jewels and the scent of Chloe. Perfect way to take on the big city! Enjoy your weekend!
Hola! So how are you guys settling into the new year? I hope on a good note because that is exactly how I am breaking it in! Scouring the web I stumbled upon this gorgeous Elle South Africa editorial with model Sharleen Dziire and had to share it. This spread is filled with so much style that you cannot help but be inspired to try out bright colors, bold ethnic prints, and to rock your natural hair proudly!
Jozi Maboneng stands for a celebration of South African fashion. This features designs from local South African designers: Loin Cloth and Ashes, Taibo Bacar, Ituen Basi, Gavin Rajah, Deola Sagoe, Marianne Fassler and more. Seeing these images makes me even more eager to explore the beautiful continent of Africa— currently planning a trip to Ghana for 2014 and I cannot wait! What do you love the most about this spread? Do tell!
