Everyone flocks to florals and bright hues as their wardrobe pick for Easter Sunday, but why not spruce it up with a bit of polka dots in a black/white color palette. Hola mi gentes! As we continue on during this dreary winter season it is easy to get lost in the same wardrobe routine. You know when it is so cold out you instantly reach for the nearest slouchy sweater, skinnies and boots as your daily wear. **humm or is that just me?** The realization is simple—I need to add an extra something to make my wardrobe pop. I enjoy playing with different patterns, textures, and color. Oh and I cannot forget accessories! I adore bags, jewelry and shoes…moreso than clothing.
To get my juices flowing I styled a model which you can see in my Looklet portfolio. ”Elaine” is wearing a cute Marc by Marc Jacobs striped sweater dress. I kept the color scheme subtle with white, ash blue and charcoal. Yet I also worked in texture by mixing fabrics and depth by layering items. I topped it off with a big bright Diesel handbag! It is a fashion site where you can choose your model, clothes, accessories, and background to create the set you want. This is a great way to test out looks for yourself or even better if you are a stylist or in the fashion biz and need to explore different options. It is like being your own stylist and mag editor at the same time. I love it!
