Hola! I hope that the work week has been treating you good! I just wanted to put you on to all the natural hair happenings that is going on in Brooklyn soon. These are great events to attend if you are natural, transitioning, or relaxed but thinking about crossing over to the other side ;o)
1st up- Karen’s Body Beautiful- On Sunday, July 18th from 1p.m. – 4p.m. they are sponsoring a Loving Your Hair With Natural Care Workshop being hosted by the infamous Felicia Leatherwood. She is the founder of this workshop, specializes in natural hair care, and a stylist to the stars–she has coiffed the manes of Jill Scott and Sanaa Lathan just to name a few. Their site said that you can expect the workshop to cover:
Knowledge of high vs. low end products
Hair care maintenance the natural way
Demos of various natural hair styles and updos
Learn how to love your hair and not curse it!

2nd up- Khamit Kinks and AMBERmag.com- Together they are hosting the event Curls & Caipirinhas which is being held in the Khamit Kinks Salon on Monday, July 19th from 5:30p.m. – 9:30p.m. This event seems like it is going to be a fun one–what woman doesn’t like to get their hair done, a massage and drinks?!?
