Hola! I’m so happy that it is Wednesday just because I know Friday is near. Well let’s not dwell on that but on WIDW—H&M digs for Fall. I cannot even begin to think of cold weather being that we are just starting to warm up here in NYC but these looks are too cute to miss out on seeing.
Check out the first video of the women’s collection which is filled with bold baubles, sophisticated separates and muted tones.
We cannot forget about the gents, here is the lookbook for what’s in store for Autumn. Expect to see lots of bright colors with a side of prep in the mix. Peep it!
What are your thoughts on the collections? Did you see anything you like for yourself or your boo? Do tell…
Hola! We’re kicking off a new segment on SNC—Fashion Insider on the Move. Expect to see features of up and coming journalists, stylists, designers, artists and more that are on the move. I thought that this would be a great way to highlight the stories of women and men in the industry. I suggest new fashion school grads, transitional workers and the curious to take note because this segment is for you.
The first to be featured is journalist Claire Sulmers. The Harvard grad is the editor in chief of the Fashion Bomb Daily and I just adore the site! She covers fashion, celebs, interviews and more all with women of color in mind. Check out the video to hear this fashion insider dish the inside scoop on how she is on the move. Enjoy!
Hola peeps! You may or may not be familiar with today’s muse—Hollie Cook. She is a singer that hails from across the pond and is the daughter of British drummer Paul Cook of the Sex Pistols. Her music is an eclectic mixture of different genres—you will be turning it up! I cannot forget to mention that gorgeous mane of hers…love it!
Beautiful! *note to self…revisit finger coils*
Her tresses are simply gorgeous!
Check out the video for her song Body Heat! Nice reggae vibe and perfect for summer. Enjoy!
Hola peeps! What are you up to? I’m hanging out today and taking it easy. I just want to wish you a safe and happy Memorial Day. Please remember to say a prayer for our fallen soldiers and their families.
**Real quick…I styled my hair using Ouidad Climate Control products. So far so good as it has kept my tressess in tact in this humid weather. Stay tuned a review is coming soon
Hola! TGIF! What are your plans for the long holiday weekend? I am going to kick back and go with the flow…I so need it! Let’s get to today’s sass—Stripes & Hot Pink. The weather has been so unpredictable here in NYC that I styled this look with items that can transition with the season. The striped maxi skirt and oxfords keeps it easy/comfy; pair it with a structured hot pink blazer for a pop of color and touch of sophistication. Easily dress the look up by swapping out the oxfords for heels then lose blazer and pile on a few necklaces. Perfecto! Enjoy and be safe this holiday weekend
Hola peeps! We all need it from time to time—inspiration that is. I have been struggling a bit with my hair as of late *i blame the rain* and felt the need to roam the web in search of some curly goodness. Check out these snapshots of chicas with gorgeous curlz. Enjoy and be inspired!
Hola peeps! Welcome to another week! While I was out with the beau stuffing my face with crab cakes some of you may have been chillin watching the 2012 Billboard Music Awards. I didn’t even know about it until I saw my twitter TL going crazy over Brandy’s curly do. You know I had to rush to take a peek and I must say I am LOVING it! She got it right with a big natural looking curly wig or weave *not sure*. This look reminds me so much of my hair right now—same shape, length and curl pattern. So what do you think, are you feeling it? Oh and fill me in who else took over the awards with amazing hair and/or style? Do tell….
Hola! Happy Friday to you all! Yesterday we showed you the H&M collection of Fashion Star winner Kara Laricks; however as the winner she also had to design a collection for each buyer/price point. As H&M is the lower tier and today’s Saks Fifth Ave collection is of course is the higher tier. I can definitely see the resemblance in both collections yet SFA is a bit more sophisticated with a side of glam *i wouldn’t expect anything less from Saks*. Check it out!
The fab Coco Rocha modeled the looks show here and I am loving that they styled her hair in a big curly fro. If you like what you see then go here to purchase. Happy Shopping
Hola peeps! The weekend is almost here and I can’t wait to just chill out! So did you all watch the winner of Fashion Star? Well, I must admit I didn’t either but I have pics of Kara Laricks and the cool H&M Collection of hers. I am already eyeing a few pieces that I would like to get my hands on. Pieces are being sold in stores and you can go here to purchase her collection. Happy shopping!
Joan Smalls models the Kara Laricks collection for H&M. Which pieces are your faves? Do tell…
