Hola!   Did you all watch the State of the Union address last night?  Although the President did a great job it was Michelle Obama who stole the show!  Everyone was up in arms about the fab royal blue dress that fit her so well for the event.  The beautiful garb was designed by costume designer turned fashion designer—Barbara Tfank and is from her 2012 Resort collection.  The color just popped and exuded glamour/style.  Excellent choice first lady!

Hola!  I hope all is good with ya!  I came across another ad that shows us naturals love—Converse for Target.  Her hair is awesome, it looks so fluffy and soft.  I also adore the laid-back outfit and sunnies.   Seeing this makes me want to pack up my suitcases and take a road trip as well :o )

Hola peeps!  I was browsing blogs when I came across these fab pics of Solange.  Here at SNC we are big fans and after seeing this spread she did for the Feb issue of InStyle magazine justified our love for her even more.  The colors, fabrics, textures, and the hair  **love the cut** oozes style.  It has been awhile since I have flipped through the pages of InStyle mag but this set makes me to want to run to the store now to pic up a copy!  Will you be doing the same?

Hola peeps!  I hope that you had a great weekend.  Let’s start the week off with the talented and gorgeous singer Joy Denalane.  I fell in love with her voice and hair a few years back; the admiration has only grown from there.  I cannot wait until my hair ”hangs” like hers in its natural state, however since I suffer from CGSS (Curly Girl Shrinkage Syndrome) it is quite difficult…haha.  Go here for more on pics and videos.  Enjoy!

Knowles with cat-like eyes with leopard print ...

Hola!  I have a confession…I’m slightly obsessed with leopard print.  Recently I was organizing my closet and realized that I have tons of items in the print—shoes, handbags, scarves, and clothing.  What’s not to love…it can be dressed up or down, pairs well with different color schemes and add a bit of luxe bad girl to any ensemble.  I can’t get enough!  So do you have an obsession?  Do tell…

Hola!  In honor of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day today’s muse is the strong, intelligent and beautiful Mrs. Coretta Scott King.  Born in 1927 and passing away in 2006, she accomplished a great deal in her 78 years of life.  She was a mother, wife, daughter, sister, activist and author.  I cannot think of a better muse for today, she makes me aspire to be a better woman for all of mankind.  Thank you Mrs. King for your wonderful contribution to society.
